Family Session Pricing

The fees to shoot, create and deliver your finished family photographs are in two parts: first you book the session itself; then once I've edited the images you can purchase a collection directly inside the gallery.

Part 1: Book a session

A 90 minute session of quality time together wherever you’re comfortable, such as at home playing games, reading stories, or baking biscuits, or at the local park feeding the ducks and jumping in puddles.

The session fee doesn’t include digitals or printed products. The preview slideshow is only available for 24 hours to help you decide which of the three collections to order.

Part 2: Purchase a collection

You'll be able to choose and purchase a collection after watching the preview slideshow. The preview is only available for 24 hours, but you'll be able to purchase a collection even after the preview expires. After you purchase a collection the full gallery of images is revealed, including the slideshow, and is available for 30 days. During that time you'll be able to spend the credit and download the digitals included in your collection.

How many images are in a full gallery?

Every family session is different, but typically there’s around 40-50 finished images from a full 90 minute session. Most, if not all, of these will be previewed in the slideshow, and then once you purchase a collection you’ll be able to download the individual images you love, or the full set if you choose the Premium collection.

What can we spend the gallery credit on?

The gallery shop includes: loose prints, framed prints, canvases, premium leatherette albums, handmade Heirloom albums, greetings cards, and additional high res digital files. All except the albums can be ordered directly in the gallery and delivered to your door. For album you’ll purchase in the gallery, then I’ll design for you based on your selection of favourite images.

We don’t want prints, how do we buy just the digitals?

I don’t offer digital-only collections for my full family sessions because I firmly believe we only really enjoy and cherish the images we print. I love my job because I’m creating images families will cherish for generations, and I’ve found it’s all too easy for digital files to be forgotten about on a hard drive once they’re delivered, rarely to be seen again – what a shame! But if you’d prefer to make your own prints you’re welcome to spend your credit on more digital files.

We just want a couple of images, we don’t need 15+ digital files.

You may be better suited to one of my occasional mini-sessions. A mini-session lasts about 15 minutes at a location of my choice, and includes 5 high resolution files. I only offer mini-sessions when I can book at least four families to attend, booking slots one after the other. I don’t offer mini-sessions on an individual basis as to produce just one finished image will still take up at least half a day of my time just for the shoot (including travel), plus another half-day in communications, editing, delivery, etc.
